To start with a little bit of the past

Welcome 2015 and welcome to my blog.  I decided to start a journal to document the different cards and creations that I have had the joy in making to gift to my friends and family.  It is a great way for me to see my progress and growth.  I’m not sure where to begin so I think the easiest would be to just share images of my past creations.  I hope to be able to be more forthcoming in details and supplies used in my creations going forward.  Sharing is caring!  I’ll say this, I would also love to incorporate video tutorials but I just don’t know how I’ll find the time to do so… especially since I’m new to this and will need to research video editing and such.  With that said, thank you for stopping by.

Oct 2014 – My first card and at that a shaker card.  Dino inspiration thanks to my then six-year old daughter who someday wants to be a paleontologist.

Oct 2014 – The following day, I was tempted to try another shaker card… an Autumn theme one at that.Fall Shaker

Oct 2014 – Towards the end of October, I decided to create some bookmarks for my daughter’s Girl Scout troop to pass out as Halloween goodies.

Nov 2014 – Tried my hand at some distressing ink to create a night sky in hopes to instill some Aurora Borealis.

Dec 2014 – I wanted to create something thoughtful and somewhat practical for my daughter’s teachers.  I created the gift bags using Lawn Fawn’s goodie bag.  Inside, the teachers will find the gift card holder I created using Lawn Fawn’s love you a latte stamp and die set.  I also made some picture magnets using Mod Podge, clear accent gems, and magnets.

Dec 2014 – I also decided to create something personalized for my daughter’s Daisy troop.  Nothing beats having a Polaroid pic of yourself.  Here, I incorporated some modern calligraphy and Lawn Fawn stamps.

Jan 2015 – This here was my first commissioned card.  My client told me to do what ever I wanted because she trust that it will turn out good.  All she said was that it was for a baby.  The same client then wanted a second card; a get well card that had a sports theme.

Jan 2015 – I decided to make a bunny birthday card by creating a night sky background and using Mama Elephant’s Honey Bunny.

Jan 2015 – This was a quick Beary thank you card that threw together for my daughter’s teacher and an appreciation card for a colleague.

Feb 2015 – My third commissioned card.  Client wanted a thank you card for a guy.  She was more than happy when she saw I had used a city skyline because she was thinking along the same lines.
